Biddeford High School Mind and Body Fair

Biddeford High School, Biddeford, Maine

Angela and Donnie will be hosting a table at Biddeford High School’s Mind and Body Fair on May 23rd.ย  Students will have the opportunity to visit with various organizations from the community.ย  Stay; For Life is proud to be involved in helping the students develop their understanding of mental health and suicide prevention.

Student Presentation, Stearns Junior Senior High School

Stearns High School, Millinocket, Maine

Stay; For Life co-founders Angela and Margo will give a mental health and suicide prevention presentation to grades 6-12 at Stearns Junior Senior High School, in Millinocket.ย  The presentation will help students recognize signs of mental health challenges in themselves and others, and provide practical tools for support. Theyโ€™ll learn how to check in with peers using thoughtful scripts, express their own needs, and practice self-care strategies. A visualization activity will help them identify their personal support network, and theyโ€™ll receive key mental health resources. The session will end with a Q&A with Angela.

Vendor Table, Career Fair at Stearns Jr/Sr High School

Stay; For Life will be hosting a vendor table at the career fair in Millinocket at Stearns Jr/Sr High School from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.ย  See all there is to see at the career fair, and stop by the Stay; For Life table to say hi and snag some resources (free to the public).

Strengthening Youth Mental Health, a community meeting

Stay; For Life will be present at “Strengthening Youth Mental Health” a community meeting, hosted by MaineHealth.ย  This important event will bring together community members, organizations, and stakeholders to explore ways to support youth in adopting healthy habits and fostering resilience.

Stay; For Life will serve as a vendor at “Thriving with Intention: Move Beyond Survive, Choose to Thrive” Conference, hosted by York County Early Childhood Coalition, to share resources with early care and education professionals for themselves, as well as children and families they serve.

Wells High School Auditorium

Join us at the Wells High School Auditorium where Angela will offer her insights on the critical importance of mental health awareness and suicide prevention. She will also share her journey as a mother who lost her son to suicide. Attendees will be provided with practical strategies and resources to facilitate mental health awareness and navigate difficult situations such as suicidal ideation.
